We have 2 vacancies for Research Assistants, who are responsible for assisting with research projects, collecting and analysing data, and preparing reports. The Research Assistants will work closely with the research team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Based in a newly established facility in inner city Melbourne, these positions are a great opportunity for someone who loves being part of a team undertaking dynamic research and development.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with research projects by collecting and analysing data
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of research activities
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard
- Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-standards environment
- General laboratory maintenance tasks.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Diligently follow safety, testing and quality processes in accordance with the IonOpticks Quality Management System (QMS).
Key selection criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. chemistry, biology, etc.)
- Hands on experience with HPLC and/or mass spectrometry instruments and ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A positive work attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and a great team player
