IonOpticks’ new generation of UHPLC columns reimagines what proteomics separation technology can achieve.
Born from extensive collaboration with leading proteomics researchers and engineered with precision at every step, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns offer enhancements in robustness, longevity, spray stability, and reproducibility – features critical to advanced proteomics research. With Generation 4 Aurora Series®, we have also expanded analytical possibilities with important additions to our capillary flow column range, along with our new HeatSync™ range of column heating solutions.

Uncompromising durability for demanding proteomics
Refined manufacturing techniques allow Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns to stand up to demanding conditions without sacrificing performance. With enhanced robustness, your research continues uninterrupted, even when analysing the most challenging samples. By maintaining stability, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns reduces variability of chromatography, letting you focus on the science, rather than column performance concerns.
Better columns. Better data. Better research.
By improving robustness, longevity, spray stability, reproducibility and compatibility, whilst maintaining industry leading sensitivity, depth of coverage and throughput, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns provide the analytical foundation upon which breakthrough discoveries can be achieved. With a level of research consistency and confidence previously unattainable, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns deliver the perfect combination of high performance and robustness for optimised research.

Consistent results you can trust, injection after injection.
Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns deliver unprecedented column-to-column reproducibility, enabling reliable replication of results across multiple experiments and laboratory sites. This exceptional consistency comes from refined manufacturing techniques that minimise column-to-column variations. Each Generation 4 Aurora Series® column is subject to rigorous quality control processes, ensuring that your scientific insights remain reliable whether you’re confirming initial findings or scaling up to larger cohort studies.
A redesigned XT cassette
Superior spray stability for confidence in your findings
The connection between a chromatography column and a mass spectrometer is a critical junction for overall LC-MS system performance. Through a redesigned XT cassette with a reduced metal profile, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns feature enhanced spray stability that maintains consistent ionisation conditions throughout analytical runs.
This improved stability ensures more reliable and stable detection of analytes across your entire sample cohort. By reducing signal fluctuations, Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns deliver better quantitative accuracy and enhanced detection of low-abundance peptides.
The result? More complete proteomic coverage and increased confidence in your quantification.

Aurora Series® 150 μm capillary-flow range is here.
You asked. We delivered.
IonOpticks’ Generation 4 Aurora Series® capillary flow column range represents our commitment to providing purpose-built solutions for modern proteomics workflows. Analyse more complex samples with greater efficiency through columns specifically designed to meet these emerging challenges.
Rigorously tested in demanding research environments, Generation 4 Aurora Series® capillary flow columns deliver high-throughput analysis of complex samples while maintaining sensitivity.

Integrated emitters
In combination with our proprietary nanoZero® fittings, our integrated emitter removes the need for any additional fittings or separate emitter. The unique emitter design drastically improves ionisation efficiency, spray stability and overall system longevity, eliminating the pain associated with separate emitter setups. Best of all, pre- and post-column dead volumes are gone, realising the full potential for chromatographic separation of your precious samples.
nanoZero® is built-in
All Generation 4 Aurora Series® columns are designed and manufactured to remove pre- and post-column dead volume, allowing for sample separation in the column to be optimised, and for this separation to be carried all the way through to the mass spectrometer for detection. What makes Aurora XT and Aurora XS unique is our ability to integrate these benefits directly into the design. Together with our unique heating approach and custom interface solutions, our entire Aurora Series® range is now truly accessible to all users.
Unique and sustainable column heating you keep
The HeatSync™ range of accessories are the perfect companion to make the best chromatography even better.
Temperature control is essential for achieving reproducible, high-quality results in high-performance proteomics analysis. The HeatSync™ product range has been developed to provide a more efficient and user-friendly suite of accessories for column heating at the source. The HeatSync™ ecosystem enables precise temperature control and includes a controller, column heater, regulator, and a dedicated housing for columns shorter than 8 cm. Its streamlined design minimises complexity, allowing researchers to focus on scientific discovery rather than managing equipment.
