Postponed: IonOpticks Peaks and Pints, Milan Edition
March 4 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm UTC+10
Event postponed
IonOpticks will bring Peaks and Pints to Milan, Italy, for an engaging evening of science, conversation, and connection at Rita’s Tiki Room, Milan.
As part of our global, roving event series, Peaks and Pints is a free event designed to bring researchers together in a relaxed and social setting. Hosted across Europe, North America, APAC, and beyond, the series creates opportunities to connect with fellow scientists, IonOpticks users, and our team over drinks and light food – on us.
For our Milan gathering, we are pleased to welcome guest speakers Sibylle Pfammatter, Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Expert at the Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ), and Professor Gunnar Dittmar, University of Luxembourg, who will share insights from their research and real-world applications. Whether you are troubleshooting separations, exploring new workflows, or simply curious about what other labs are working on, this event creates space to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build meaningful connections within the local research community.
Each Peaks and Pints event is fully catered and intentionally relaxed in atmosphere, blending networking with opportunities to hear directly from users generating impactful data. Join us as we continue expanding the programme throughout 2026.

About the presenters

Sibylle Pfammatter is a proteomics specialist at the Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ), where she develops and applies advanced mass‑spectrometry workflows to tackle complex biological questions. Her work spans quantitative proteomics, biomarker discovery, and high‑resolution LC‑MS method development. Sibylle brings a sharp technical perspective and a collaborative spirit — a great fit for an event built around sharing ideas and connecting with the proteomics community.

Gunnar Dittmar is the Head of the Proteomics Platform at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), where he leads research at the interface of quantitative proteomics, signalling pathways, and systems biology. His work focuses on developing advanced MS‑based approaches to understand how protein networks drive cellular behaviour in health and disease. With deep expertise in complex workflows and a long track record of community engagement, Gunnar brings a sharp scientific perspective and a collaborative spirit to the proteomics conversation.
What to expect
IonOpticks’ Peaks and Pints is a global, roving event series designed to bring researchers together in a relaxed, social setting.
